The granddaughter of World Cup winner, Nobby Stiles has just completed the Great North Run in his name. The 21 year old is currently at University and continues to help with research that suggests that many football stars develop brain injuries that lead to Dementia long term. Nobby Stiles is one of three World Cup winning footballers who has been diagnosed with Dementia, with the matter becoming so serious it has been taken to the FA who have agreed on funding a study into the effect that heading a football can have on the brain.
