Our Story

Larchfield House's story begins on 6th March 2006 when we opened our doors for the first time and welcomed residents to live with, and be cared for, by us. Since that time a lot has happened, whilst we have gone from strength to strength, on improving the lives of those who have lived with us since then.

February 2024

Electronic Medication Administration

ATLAS EMAR software introduced at Larchfield to improve resident safety and improve efficiency for the clinical team.

January 2023

Specialist Physiotherapy Service

Our full time Physiotherapist joined the Clinical team to support the wellbeing and mobility needs of our residents.

September 2021

Further Care Services

The service provision included a younger persons unit along with Palliative care supporting the specialist nursing services.

September 2021

Expansion Complete!

Building work was completed and the new rooms and the newly landscaped gardens were opened by the Rt Hon Teressa May MP.

2020

Building Work Commences

Building work commenced to expand Larchfield House by adding the third floor and adding additional rooms to the second.

February 2019

Expansion Was Needed

Larchfield was at capacity so the decision was made to expand and increase to meet demand for the specialist services from 75 beds to 98.

2018

CQC Recognises Improvement

The CQC rating was improved soon after the new Director was appointed and Larchfield House.

March 2018

New Director Appointed

Cliff Grand-Scrutton was appointed as the director and Larchfield House became a Specialist Nursing Home.

Where It All Started

Larchfield House Care home was opened as a residential care home.
